Interim Senior Finance Assistant

Interim Senior Finance Assistant – £25-£30k – Holsworthy – 9–12 month contract – Full or Part-time (min 3 days)

Trial Balance Consulting have once again been exclusively assigned by a long-standing client, who is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Assistant for a period of 9-12 months. This is a multifaceted, highly successful and long-standing business which operates across numerous sectors throughout the south-west.

Reporting to an experienced Financial Controller, the incoming candidate will assume day-to-day responsibility for both the management accounts and the payroll function for several businesses in the group. You will be joining a small and friendly finance team, who work collaboratively and harmoniously to achieve the goals set by the SLT.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

1. Preparation of monthly management accounts
2. VAT return preparation
3. Payroll and pension administration
4. Bank reconciliations
5. Purchase and sales ledger processing
6. Processing supplier payments within agreed timescales

This role would suit an experienced finance professional who has a detailed knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, excellent IT and software skills, as well as a good understanding of payroll processing and administration. The successful candidate will likely be AAT qualified, although those who are still studying or qualified by experience will be equally considered. A good working knowledge of MS Excel and XERO is also desirable.
