Overview

Interim Management Accountant - Plymouth/ Hybrid - £40k-£50k FTE - Full time - 3 months+

Responsibilities

  • Preparing timely and accurate management accounts
  • Supporting the month end process and financial reporting
  • Producing profit and loss statements and supporting schedules
  • Assisting with forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Providing support across the wider finance team when needed

Candidate profile

We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant who thrives in a busy finance environment and enjoys being hands-on with the numbers. You’ll have a strong grasp of accounting processes, from managing the month end close, to producing clear and accurate financial reports that help guide business decisions. You’re confident using Excel and accounting software and comfortable learning your way around new systems. If you’ve worked with ERP systems before, that’s a great bonus. You’re someone who can manage your own workload, stay organised under pressure and keep things moving efficiently when deadlines are tight. Most importantly, you communicate clearly, work well with others and have an excellent eye for detail. You take pride in getting things right the first time and enjoy being part of a team that values accuracy, collaboration and a positive attitude.
