Trial Balance Consulting are pleased to be exclusively supporting a fast-growing and highly successful Cornish business, who are seeking to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager to join their expanding finance team. This full-time, permanent role is based in Redruth and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to step into a broad and commercially focused position. Working closely with the Finance Manager, this is a hands-on role where you will gain exposure across multiple areas of the finance function within a growing and dynamic business.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the Finance Manager with management accounts, financial reporting and KPI reporting
- Managing and mentoring a small finance team within a busy finance department
- Overseeing sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control processes
- Performing bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close
- Assisting with supplier payment runs, invoicing and ledger management
- Supporting improvements to finance systems, processes and accounting platforms
We’re keen to hear from qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), part-qualified, or QBE accountants with strong finance and accounting experience gained within a busy finance team. Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff would be beneficial, alongside strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate financial reporting and management information.
