Assistant Finance Manager – Full time – Permanent – Hayle – circa £32k

When considering a new job opportunity, there’s a lot to weigh. The role itself needs to align with your skills, the compensation should be competitive, and the long-term prospects should be promising. However, one of the most crucial—and often overlooked—factors is whether the values of your potential employer resonate with you and if the organisation’s mission aligns with your personal principles. If working with a purpose-driven, ethical company that genuinely makes a positive impact on people’s lives is just as important as the work you’re doing, then this could be an opportunity worth exploring.

Trial Balance Consulting is proud to exclusively partner with one of Cornwall’s most respected and dynamic charities. This organisation, known for its wide range of services, is dedicated to supporting some of the county’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will include:

  1. Assisting the Finance Manager with the day-to-day accounting activity using a Sage based platform
  2. Supervising two members of the finance team
  3. Assisting with the production of management accounts for presentation with commentary
  4. Bank reconciliations
  5. Cashflow and income monitoring
  6. HMRC submissions
  7. Assisting with payroll operations
  8. Preparation of annual balance sheet
  9. Administering the workplace pension scheme
  10. Deputising for the Finance Manager

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Assistant/Management Accountant looking to refine and expand their expertise. My client is ideally seeking an AAT-qualified or part-qualified professional (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), though they are also open to candidates qualified by experience. If you\’re interested, please click apply, and Dan Saunders will be in touch. The reference for this vacancy is DS10459.
