Trial Balance Consulting are working with a well‑established organisation who urgently require an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them on a part‑time, fixed‑term basis (12 months). This is a hands‑on role where you’ll quickly become an integral part of the finance team supporting a busy function during a key period. The business needs someone who can hit the ground running and confidently manage core accounting tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals
  • Oversight and support of purchase and sales ledger activities
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts
  • Supporting month‑end and year‑end processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Supporting audit requirements

You’ll be an experienced Assistant Accountant (or similar) with a strong grasp of prepayments, accruals and management accounts. You’ll be confident using Sage 50 and Excel, highly organised and able to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment. AAT Level 3 (or equivalent) is required.
