As Tax Senior, key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring all compliance requirements are completed accurately and within deadline
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns and calculating associated tax liabilities
- Preparing P11D forms and supporting clients with related tax matters
- Liaising directly with clients, HMRC and other professional advisers on a range of tax issues
- Assisting with tax planning opportunities, particularly for higher net worth individuals
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensuring advice remains accurate and relevant
The successful Tax Senior will bring:
- Previous experience within a tax or accountancy practice environment, together with a genuine interest in developing your career within tax.
- You’ll ideally hold ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualifications, or be part-qualified and progressing towards one of these.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills will be essential, alongside the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly and confidently to clients.
- You’ll also be comfortable working to deadlines, managing a varied workload and adapting to the busier periods of the tax calendar.
