Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively engaged by a new client, a specialist manufacturing business operating on a global scale. The business seeks to recruit an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk and Credit Controller to join their finance team on a permanent, full-time, site-based contract.
This role offers an interesting opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced Financial Controller and liaise across various departments. The focus is on maintaining the health of the company’s high-value customer accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with FC, customer service, and sales teams to manage low-risk accounts receivable ledger
- Handle multi-currency bank allocations
- Chase overdue accounts and update debtor notes
- Generate and distribute statements of account
- Perform credit checks on new customers
- Lead accounts receivable administration
- Prepare month-end accounts receivable reports
- Monitor receivable accounts regularly
- Review debt books frequently and coordinate action plans with FC
- Create and issue sales invoices using Oracle systems
- Manage aged debtor administration, including direct communication with customers with unpaid invoices
Ideal candidates will have experience with general ledgers and aged debtor management, either part/fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience. The company uses Oracle-based accounting software, with full training provided. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential. The team is highly experienced and energetic, making this role suitable for candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
