Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by one of our longstanding clients, a highly successful and rapidly expanding services business consisting of several group entities and operating across a broad range of sectors. They currently seek to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team, a permanent, full-time position to be based at the company’s headquarters close to Penzance.
This is a broad role which will play a key part in supporting the finance function, reporting into an experienced and friendly Finance Manager. Main duties of the role include:
- Responsibility for the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Assisting with all month-end procedures to tight deadlines
- Monitoring the aged debtor
- Ensuring efficient accounts payable and receivable controls
- Bank/balance sheet reconciliations
- Overall responsibility for monthly payroll
- Supporting the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc duties and tasks
What we’re looking for: This role represents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a unique company at a really exciting time for the business. Candidates will ideally be fully AAT qualified, though applicants with relevant vocational experience will be given equal consideration. Person fit is just as important, so a good attitude and a willingness to contribute wherever required is essential!
Good IT skills, including an aptitude for digital accounting platforms (Sage/Xero), are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a close-knit team. The role operates within a busy function, and the successful candidate will liaise with many internal and external stakeholders, so good communication and team-working skills are prerequisites!
