Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Lead on month-end and year-end processes
- Monitor and manage cash flow and banking
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate ledgers
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Track KPIs and provide insightful financial analysis
- Lead and mentor a small finance team
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements
- Liaise with external auditors and advisors
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Present financial reports and insights to management
You’ll be AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent), with solid experience gained in a similar role and ideally within a medium-sized business. You’ll have a strong grasp of accounting principles, confidence with financial reporting and a natural ability to juggle competing priorities. If you’re comfortable with Excel, enjoy problem-solving and bring a calm, collaborative approach, you’ll fit in perfectly.
