Finance Manager (Charity) – Full time – Exeter – Circa Β£40k

Trial Balance have been engaged on an exclusive basis by our client to find a dynamic all-rounder to take the lead in the financial and management reporting for the organisation, along with supporting non-finance staff and management in their decision making.

As the sole finance person on site, your responsibilities will be wide and varied, from financial data entry through to preparing the management and statutory reports, and working closely with the CEO and trustees. Your anticipated duties will include:

  • Purchase and sales ledger maintenance
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • VAT return submissions
  • Preparing payroll
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Attending board meetings and offering strategic business analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Working with external accountants for the annual audit
  • This role would be a great fit for a fully qualified Accountant with an excellent understanding of the nuances of the charitable sector, but consideration can also be given to excellent QBE applicants, and to experienced Finance Managers who may not yet have worked within the sector. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary and benefits package along with free parking on site and flexible working hours.
