Finance Manager – Liskeard / Hybrid – Circa: £45,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a new client, an interesting hospitality focussed business set in a stunning location close to Liskeard. The business operates multiple entities in both the UK and oversees – all of which are intrinsically linked and funded by a single investor. The company seeks to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to assume their finance-number-one position in a role offered on a full time, permanent contract. This employer also promotes a hybrid working arrangement with up to two days per week operated remotely if required.
Working closely alongside the Managing Director, senior management team and a Finance Director located outside of the UK, the successful candidate will assume a position of key responsibility, managing both the day-to-day financial controls of the business, financial reporting and contributing to ongoing financial strategy. The Finance Manager will also supervise one member of staff, predominantly focussed on the transactional/payroll elements of the function. Core focus of the role to include:
– Overall management of the operational finance function to include accounts payable and receivable processes, cost and inventory accounting, reconciliations, aged debtor management etc.
– Production of monthly management accounts with commentary
– Regularly attend financial strategy and performance meetings with senior management team
– Ensure efficient and timely reporting of statutory accounts
– Cash flow forecasting
– Identify, develop and implement digital accounting system processes
– Mentor and develop one member of staff (considering future recruitment needs)
This role would be well suited to an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller seeking to assume a higher level of responsibility acting as finance lead. Applicants will ideally hold a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), though this employer is open to considering candidates with suitable vocational experience only. The successful candidate must have experience gained in a commercial environment, ideally hospitality, services or an investor backed business. The company is keen to streamline its digital accounting processes so strong IT aptitude, and the ability to liaise with colleagues both in and out of finance will be essential.
