Accounts Senior / Practice Accountant (Accountancy in Cornwall, Helston

The right senior role in accountancy practice gives you the opportunity to do more than produce accounts. Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a growing and personable accountancy practice, looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team in Helston. This is a hands-on position offering a broad range of responsibilities, from accounts and tax work through to client management, team development and supporting the day-to-day operation of the practice. Managing a varied portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact for their ongoing accounting and taxation requirements Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders Preparing corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns Producing management accounts and supporting clients with their wider financial requirements Leading client tax review meetings and identifying opportunities to provide additional value Assisting with workflow planning, deadlines and the day-to-day organisation of the practice Supporting the Directors with wider practice management and ad-hoc projects ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, together with extensive experience gained within an accountancy practice. You'll have strong technical knowledge across accounts, tax and VAT and be confident managing a portfolio of clients independently. You'll also be organised, methodical and commercially aware, with a good working knowledge of accounting software.
