This is a hands-on role that will see the successful candidate working closely with the senior leadership team, taking responsibility for the production of management information and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function. The assignment offers flexibility of either a four or five-day working week but does require an on-site presence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Accruals, prepayments and journal postings
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Variance analysis and reporting
- Cashflow monitoring and reporting
- Assisting with year-end procedures and audit preparation
- Production of ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
- Supporting wider finance projects as required
The successful candidate will be an experienced Management Accountant who is comfortable working autonomously and able to quickly familiarise themselves with an existing finance function. Applicants should possess strong month-end accounting experience, excellent analytical skills and a good eye for detail.
