Bureau Payroll Officer / Client Bookkeeper - Newton Abbot - £26,000 - £35,000 Continued growth has created an exciting opportunity to join a successful and expanding accountancy practice in Newton Abbot.
As Bureau Payroll Officer / Client Bookkeeper, you'll become an integral member of a supportive team, managing payroll for a diverse client base whilst also providing bookkeeping and VAT support.
This is a varied role offering genuine responsibility and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients.
Seeing an almost 50/50 split between Payroll and Bookkeeping, duties to include: -Managing end-to-end payroll, processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls -Ensuring payrolls are completed accurately and on time, including RTI submissions, year-end processes and pension auto-enrolment -Liaising with HMRC to resolve payroll queries and provide support to clients -Preparing bookkeeping records and completing VAT returns for a varied portfolio of clients -Working across a range of accounting software including Xero, Quick Books, Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel -Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing professional advice and day-to-day support -Assisting with general office administration and supporting colleagues across the wider practice when required The successful candidate?
