Job Description
Bookkeeper - Exmouth - £: Negotiable dependent on experience
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been reengaged by a highly respected professional services business who, due to continued growth, seek to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The role is offered as a permanent contract and can be operated on either a full of part time basis (minimum 30 hours per week), and will be based from our client’s HQ in a beautiful area of Exmouth.
Whilst the role serves multiple clients, it would be very well suited to an experienced Bookkeeper in industry who would benefit from a broad and varied role, working with multiple businesses (from sole trader to small incorporated businesses). Key focus of the role to include:
- Daily bookkeeping for a variety of portfolio clients
- Assist with both accounts payable and receivable maintenance
- Bank reconciliations
- Production of accounts to trial balance
- Journal entries and amendments
- VAT reporting
- CIS reporting (training provided if required)
- Assist in the production of management accounts
- Other ad hoc duties as required
For this role we seek an experienced Bookkeeper or an Assistant Accountant looking to take a step up. Applicants may have experience gained in either industry or practice. Candidates may be either part/fully AAT qualified or consider themselves to be QBE. Good all-round IT experience is essential, with some exposure to Xero, Sage or QuickBooks being highly desirable. The role works as part of a fun, energetic and friendly head office team where team-work forms an important element of each employees’ duties, so great inter-person skills a must!
