A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Bath is looking to recruit an Accounts Technician to join its friendly and collaborative team. As Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
- Preparing tax calculations and supporting the wider tax team by identifying potential issues
- Completing bookkeeping assignments for a varied portfolio of clients
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts and VAT returns
- Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Supporting the audit and tax teams on a range of assignments to broaden your experience
- Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure work is delivered accurately and on time
The successful Accounts Technician candidate will:
- Already have experience working within an accountancy practice environment and will ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards ACA or ACCA.
- Enjoy working with clients, have excellent communication skills and be confident managing your own workload.
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous, although training will be provided where required.
