A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Bath is looking to recruit an Accounts Technician to join its friendly and collaborative team. Offering exposure across accounts, tax and audit, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice accountant looking to continue their professional development within a supportive environment.

As Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
  • Preparing tax calculations and supporting the wider tax team by identifying potential issues
  • Completing bookkeeping assignments for a varied portfolio of clients
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts and VAT returns
  • Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
  • Supporting the audit and tax teams on a range of assignments to broaden your experience
  • Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure work is delivered accurately and on time

The successful Accounts Technician candidate will:

  • Already have experience working within an accountancy practice environment and will ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards ACA or ACCA.
  • Enjoy working with clients, have excellent communication skills and be confident managing your own workload.
  • Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous, although training will be provided where required.
