Job Description:
Trial Balance Consulting has been reengaged by a longstanding client, a hospitality-focused business located on the outskirts of Okehampton. Due to a restructure of the accounting function, a new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join the friendly accounting team. The role is full-time and permanent.
The successful candidate will work closely with a small team and report to a Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable, including setting up new suppliers and processing supplier credit notes.
- Maintaining accounts receivable and reconciling purchase ledger invoices.
- Preparing supplier payment runs.
- General ledger analysis and data extraction.
- Assisting with month-end procedures and other accounting projects.
Candidates should have at least 12 months of experience in a similar environment, either AAT qualified or qualified by experience. The company values modern, cloud-based accounting systems and uses MS Excel extensively, so proficiency in spreadsheets is desirable.
