A successful accountancy practice, with an excellent reputation, is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join its friendly and collaborative team in Taunton. As Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Preparing VAT returns and completing bookkeeping assignments
- Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Working with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Working closely with senior colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service
The successful Accounts Assistant candidate will already have experience working within an accountancy practice and be keen to continue developing their technical knowledge. You'll ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification, although candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude will all be important in this role.
