Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of major projects or multiple smaller initiatives. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, providing direction, maintaining delivery momentum and ensuring projects achieve their intended outcomes. You’ll be responsible for managing plans, priorities, risks, dependencies, budgets and resources, while creating the right environment for teams to collaborate and deliver effectively. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, senior clients and external suppliers, translating between different audiences and ensuring expectations remain aligned. The role requires someone who can adapt their delivery approach to the context, using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies as appropriate. You’ll also contribute to governance, assurance, business readiness and change, while challenging processes and removing obstacles that could prevent successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the definition, planning and successful delivery of major projects or multiple smaller initiatives.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, priorities, budgets and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams, creating an environment where people can collaborate effectively and deliver outcomes.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, clients and external suppliers, communicating effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Select and adapt appropriate delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
- Maintain delivery momentum by identifying and removing blockers, managing dependencies and providing delivery confidence.
- Establish and maintain appropriate project governance, assurance, reporting and decision-making processes.
- Manage commercial and financial aspects of delivery, balancing cost, value and project outcomes.
- Support business readiness and change, ensuring projects are positioned for successful adoption and benefits realisation.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex digital, technology or business change projects.
- Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies, with the ability to select and adapt the approach to suit the project.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and translating between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, resources and project governance.
- Experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams, removing blockers and maintaining delivery momentum.
- Commercial and supplier management experience, including working with external delivery partners.
- Experience maintaining financial controls and balancing cost, value and business outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively within complex business and operational environments and take ownership of problems to achieve successful outcomes.
- Relevant project management qualification or equivalent experience, with experience using recognised project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of digital and technology delivery and how it can enable improved ways of working and business outcomes.
- Experience of the end-to-end Benefits Realisation lifecycle, including identification, profiling, tracking, and post-implementation evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, infrastructure and cloud architecture.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification related to the area you work in - Desirable.
- Due to the nature of this position, you must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance. To be eligible, you must have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years and have the right to work in the UK.

Our Selection Process:
