Position: Data Governance Support
Location: Hybrid
Type: Contract
Rate: 575 (a status determination assessment has been carried out and the outcome placed the role outside IR35)
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to help refine and roll out our client’s Data Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK) and preferably experience within Central Government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Implementation: Assist in refining and implementing their Data Strategy.
- Workshops and Sessions: Plan and run workshops, knowledge sessions, and one-on-one meetings for senior civil servants, including those with low data maturity.
- Governance Iteration: Take learnings from sessions to iterate and draft governance documents, driving cultural change.
- Communication: Shape and deliver communications and prepare documents for data owners and stewards.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- DAMA DMBoK Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the DAMA DMBoK is essential.
- Government Experience: Preferably experience within Central Government.
- Workshop Facilitation: Experience in planning and conducting workshops and knowledge sessions.
- Governance and Cultural Change: Ability to iterate governance documents and implement cultural change based on session learnings.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for delivering clear and effective messages to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data governance roles within government departments.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing data strategies and governance frameworks.
