The business is looking to expand its commissioning team with someone who can independently deliver HV switchgear testing and commissioning across a varied portfolio of projects nationwide. You'll have genuine ownership of your work, access to further training where desired, and the chance to join a business that values its people, offers flexibility and recognises those who make a real contribution.

- Work across a variety of sites and projects nationwide, taking responsibility for delivering commissioning activities independently
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications to complete commissioning work
- Produce test results, commissioning reports and associated technical documentation
- Work closely with the existing commissioning team to deliver projects safely and effectively
- Access further training and development opportunities depending on your experience and interests
The Person:
- Proven hands‑on experience testing and commissioning HV switchgear
- Experience working on HV substations and associated electrical equipment
- Able to carry out testing and commissioning independently, rather than primarily assisting other engineers
- Strong practical knowledge of HV equipment, electrical testing and fault‑finding
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
- Comfortable travelling nationwide and staying away from home during the working week
This is a great opportunity to join a growing business with a supportive, close-knit culture where people are valued and individual contributions are recognised. With a varied workload, genuine responsibility, paid travel and overtime, and opportunities to develop your technical skills, this role offers the chance to build a long‑term future within an established electrical infrastructure team.
