- 2-3 days a week onsite in London
We're supporting a global organisation on a major business transformation and are looking for an experienced Retail Solutions Architectto play a key role in the modernisation of its inventory and supply chain landscape.
This is an opportunity to join a long-term transformation programme where you'll help shape the future-state architecture for inventory management across a complex, international business.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked within food & beverage, food retail, hospitality, FMCG or other perishable goods environments, where inventory accuracy, shelf-life, traceability, and supply chain efficiency are business critical.
The Role
Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you'll design end-to-end solutions that support the transformation of inventory management capabilities across multiple regions.
You'll be responsible for defining solution architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and working with delivery teams and third-party partners to successfully implement new capabilities.
You'll play a key role in connecting inventory, warehousing, logistics, procurement, and supplier management processes, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and fit for a global operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end solution architecture for global inventory and supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Define target-state and transition architectures across inventory, warehouse, logistics, procurement, and supplier management.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards, security, and integration principles.
- Collaborate with delivery teams, product owners, and third-party vendors throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Review solution designs and provide architectural governance across multiple workstreams.
- Support vendor selection, solution evaluations, and architecture decision-making where required.
About You
You'll be an experienced Solution Architect with retail experience with a strong understanding of inventory and supply chain operations within a high-volume environment.
You'll ideally have experience of
- Delivering supply chain and inventory management transformation programmes.
- Food & beverage, food retail, hospitality, FMCG or other perishable goods industries.
- Inventory management, replenishment, warehouse management, logistics, distribution, and supplier integration.
- ERP and supply chain platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or similar technologies.
- Working within global organisations and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF (desirable).
