We are working with a leading consumer brand who are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with good experience in Point of Sale (POS) and retail technologies. The role offers extensive cross functional exposure, working across multiple business domains, and comes at a time of significant investment in technology as part of their global expansion and digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of high quality solution architecture across retail technology initiatives
  • Architect and support POS system integrations and upgrades, ensuring seamless operation across store environments
  • Oversee data migration, interface design, and integration with key backend systems including Oracle Retail, finance platforms, and other supporting services
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable technical designs
  • Ensure solutions meet architectural principles, security standards, and long term maintainability

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in retail technologies, including store systems and POS platforms
  • Proven experience in solution architecture, covering integration patterns, data flows, and system compatibility
  • Solid understanding of enterprise scale software environments and retail operational processes

Desirable Experience

  • Microservices architecture, containerised environments, and modern integration patterns
  • RFID capabilities, such as inventory accuracy, stock management, or mobile/contactless checkout
  • Self‑checkout solution design and implementation
  • Sales transaction systems and complex retail payment flows
  • Experience working in global retail or multi‑territory store operations
