A global logistics organisation - operating across retail, wholesale, and supply chain sectors with 10,000+ employees worldwide - is setting up a brand-new UK warehouse site and needs someone to lead the IT deployment from the ground up.
This is a greenfield build. Empty canvas. You'll be the person who makes it work - rolling out the full IT infrastructure across the site, from networking and cabling through to laptops, tablets, scanners, and supply chain hardware.
What we're after:
- Hands-on experience deploying IT across warehouses, new builds, or large-scale office rollouts
- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge - Cisco, LAN/WAN, cabling
- Comfortable with MS-based environments and hardware (laptops, tablets, mobile devices)
- Project coordination experience - liaising with vendors, managing deliveries
- A roll-your-sleeves-up attitude - this isn't a desk job, at least not yet
- Available on a short notice period (2 weeks max)
What's in it for you?
- Real scope for growth - more UK sites are opening
- Greenfield opportunity - you'll shape how IT is done here from day one
- Backed by a global IT team (escalation support via central function)
- Standard hours (8–4:30 / 9–5:30) with some flexibility
- Part of a major international operation with serious infrastructure behind it
This role reports into the Site GM and sits at the heart of a large onsite project and operations team. You'll be coordinating with vendors, managing deliveries, and getting the site live - before transitioning into BAU and, eventually, helping shape the UK IT function as it grows.
