We are looking for an experienced Power BI specialist to help deliver a large project of work for a major client. This is outside IR35 and requires someone able to hit the ground running and take a lead on the scope of work.
Key Objective of role
- Utilising the PBI stack to transform business requirements and complex data into streamlined and robust data models and effective visualisations.
- Delivering an optimal user experience to users and leading them to actionable insights and data-driven decision making.
Key scope of the work
- End to end requirements capture, design and implementation of BI solutions using Power BI.
- Connect PBI to and join diverse data sources to establish optimised data models.
- Considered and user-tailored data visualisations to facilitate insight.
- Interact with business stakeholders to determine requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members and clients, business analysts, data engineers.
- Troubleshooting data and PBI related issues and maintenance of PBI infrastructure.
- Data governance and security, making use of security features within PBI eg. row level security.
- Stay updated with latest trends and developments in Power BI and data visualisation.
Key skills required
- Proficient with PBI desktop and PBI service.
- Data modelling.
- Advanced DAX and Power Query M Code.
- MSSQL.
- Strong communication skills to and working well in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, motivated and curious with a focus on continuous improvement.
