Network Security Architect
Location: London (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Contract Length: 6+ Months
Rate: £750 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to join a high-profile organisation based in London on an initial 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, implementing, and enhancing secure network infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments.
You will be responsible for defining network security architecture, driving best practice, and ensuring the resilience, scalability, and security of critical enterprise systems.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Network Security Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in:
- DNS architecture and security
- Next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower or similar)
- Network segmentation and micro-segmentation
- Secure remote access and VPN technologies
- Load balancing and traffic management
- DDoS protection and network threat mitigation
Experience designing and securing both:
- On-premise network infrastructure
- Public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
Strong understanding of:
- Zero Trust Architecture
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- IDS/IPS technologies
- Routing and switching protocols
- Security frameworks and regulatory standards
Experience producing High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation (HLDs/LLDs).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-native security services.
- Exposure to Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Relevant certifications such as:
- CISSP
- CCNP Security / CCIE Security
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Azure Security Engineer Associate
- AWS Security Specialty
