We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager (Configuration) to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of critical digital engineering capabilities within a major aerospace and defence programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enabling advanced engineering environments that support concept development, configuration management, aerodynamic analysis, flight dynamics, and digital engineering transformation.
You will work across complex stakeholder groups, suppliers, and engineering teams to deliver integrated digital solutions that improve collaboration, traceability, and programme performance.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Project or Programme Management certification (Prince2, APM, or equivalent) or significant delivery management experience.
- ITIL or equivalent Service Management experience.
You will ideally possess experience and understanding across
- Digital engineering principles and practices.
- CAD and configuration management environments.
- Aerodynamic analysis and simulation toolchains.
- Digital thread architecture and data traceability.
- Model-based engineering methodologies.
- Engineering data governance and standards.
- Minimum 10 years' experience delivering digital engineering capabilities and engineering toolchains.
- Minimum 10 years' experience within aerospace and/or defence environments.
- Strong understanding of Digital Engineering, Model-Based Engineering, and Digital Thread concepts.
- Proven experience managing complex stakeholder and supplier landscapes.
- Experience delivering capabilities across concept design, aerodynamics, configuration management, or engineering lifecycle environments.
- Strong financial, resource, and delivery management skills.
Desirable Experience
- SAFe or Agile delivery qualifications.
- Experience within regulated or safety-critical industries.
- Knowledge of digital continuity and model-based workflows.
- Experience managing CAD, aerodynamic analysis, and configuration management platforms.
- Familiarity with advanced simulation environments and multidisciplinary engineering tool integration.
- Strong change management and organisational transformation experience.
- Security Requirements
Active UK SC Clearance is mandatory for this role. Due to programme timescales, only candidates holding current SC clearance can be considered.
