This is an IT Manager opportunity to join a global logistics organisation with a client portfolio across retail, industrial, detail picking, healthcare, and e-commerce sectors. The organisation is setting up a brand-new warehouse site and needs an experienced IT professional to manage both hardware and software across the location.

You’ll be the IT lead on site and, at the beginning, the only IT person. Therefore you will be responsible for setting up the IT infrastructure for the new site from scratch. Once the site is fully operational, you’ll be responsible for building and leading the IT team.

Day-to-day, tickets will cover both hardware and software. Hardware will include full warehouse/logistics support: cabling, terminals, tablets, scanners, etc. Software will include internal business systems such as Office 365, HR, onboarding systems, and more.

You’ll also be supported by an offsite centralised IT team, so it’s important that you can communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with both onsite and offsite staff.

Experience required:

• Experience setting up IT infrastructure for a site from scratch (With some project management responsibilities)
• Senior-level IT experience – must be confident handling both hands-on and hands-off responsibilities
• Strong across both hardware and software support
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
