Head of Data
Based Buckinghamshire – 3 days onsite per week
We are currently looking for a Head of Data for a well-known consumer facing brand.
A new role, this is a fantastic opportunity to drive the strategic roadmap and transform how data is used cross the organisation.
This spans data collection, technical platform maintenance, and ensuring the analytics community have the appropriate visualization/reporting tooling to make insightful commercial decisions.
Key to this role will be:
- Driving the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals
- Working across the business and commercial functions to engage and champion the benefits of utilising data and to drive business performance improvements and strategic decision-making. Drive a ‘data-first’ culture
- Lead and mentor a team of data management & data engineers, providing guidance on best practices, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ensuring the team's ongoing professional development.
- Manage relationships with external partners to ensure ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality assurance of delivery. Establish adequate measures to monitor performance, continuously refining ways of working to optimise team performance and data asset utilisation.

We are looking for:
- Recognised expert in the field of IT Data platforms with a technically background
- Experience of delivering scalable data solutions (IDEALLY DATA FABRIC / AZURE , or AWS)
- Experience of managing a team of IT data professionals and managing relationships between teams and their stakeholders
- Experience of setting standards in data governance and architecture of data platforms
- Project & programme management skills, ideally within an agile environment.
- Broad business finance understanding, e.g. P&L drivers etc
The ideal candidate will have come from a retail / consumer facing background.
Salary 90 – 100k plus Benefits (25% Bonus, car allowance, private medical etc)
