As IT Director you’ll join a growing insurance business currently undertaking several technology programmes. They are evolving into a technology and data‑led business, with this role at the forefront of its modernisation journey. You’ll play a key role in driving innovation, AI adoption, and automation across the organisation.
You will oversee several strategic technology areas, including Project/Programmes, Product Management, Software Engineering, and Infrastructure. You will be technical, ideally with some development experience, and have a good steer on IT Programmes, with the ability to be hands on in the delivery of project/programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Technology strategy across the business, including several in‑flight cloud transformation programmes and upcoming AI‑driven initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across the business and technology teams to ensure smooth and effective technology change initiatives.
- Have proven Insurance experience, understanding best practices and initiatives within the sector.
- Experience leading post‑acquisition technology integration across varied IT environments.
- Lead the adoption of AI and automation in development, contact centre processes, dynamic pricing, and quote systems (including Natural Language Models).
- Ensure integration across multiple systems and platforms while scanning the horizon for emerging technologies relevant to insurance.
- A Head of IT/IT Director with demonstrable experience in the insurance industry and deep understanding of its operational and regulatory landscape.
- Technically proficient leader to help deliver several technical projects and guide teams through AI‑driven transformation.
- Leadership across core technology pillars including Product Development, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Data.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for leveraging AI and automation to modernise processes.
- Ability to be hands on and work in a fast paced, delivery focused environment.
