As Senior GIS Developer, you’ll join a fast-growing construction consultancy that has seen good growth over the past three years. They are now investing in geospatial capability to provide clients with deeper insights and advanced visualisation. This is a unique opportunity to build GIS capability from the ground up, shaping tools, data sets, and templates that will transform how spatial data is used across major projects. You’ll play a key role in enabling digital twin initiatives, delivering geospatial analysis, and creating client‑ready solutions that bring data to life. This is a strategic hire for the business, offering autonomy, innovation, and the chance to influence future services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish GIS tools, data sets, and templates for client projects.
  • Deliver geospatial services across utilities, regeneration, healthcare, education, and sustainability sectors.
  • Integrate GIS with existing digital services and support digital twin development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify opportunities for digitisation.
  • Engage with clients to represent and sell GIS services.
  • Line management responsibilities with potential team growth in future.

We’re looking for

  • Experienced GIS Developer with a background in the built environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Esri ArcGIS tools and platforms (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder etc).
  • Strong SQL data and spatial tooling (e.g. PostGIS, GeoPandas etc) with the ability to build ETL / ELT workflows to ingest, clean, transform and validate geospatial data from multiple sources.
  • Someone who can evaluate new tools and horizon scan AI methods to enhance the offering to clients.
  • Experience interacting with technical and non‑technical staff members and translating business needs into technical solutions.

You will receive a salary up to £70,000. 100% remote working model with occasional client meetings. Opportunity to shape a new service offering and influence strategic direction.
