We are looking for a Technical Writer to join a leading financial services organisation to work alongside and communicate with the Software Engineering team to produce documentation in line with project credentials. The ideal person will have a software development background and has transitioned into technical writing.
As a Technical Writer, you will work closely with the engineering, product, and developer teams to create technical content. You'll document APIs, architecture patterns, and developer workflows, making it easier for the internal team to build confidently on the platform.
What You'll Do as a Technical Writer:- Work within a team of technical writers to produce documents across multiple projects
- Write and maintain technical guides, integration walkthroughs, and internal engineering documentation
- Collaborate with engineers to understand system architecture and translate that into readable content
- Help define and standardize documentation processes and best practices
- 2+ years experience as a technical writer with a software development background
- Strong proficiency in Python and Go
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and OAuth
- Familiarity with Open Banking APIs/Swagger, Postman, and API management tools
- Experience working in Git-based workflows and markdown-based documentation platforms
- Excellent writing skills and very strong attention to detail
