- Network Installation Engineer
- Bristol | On-site | Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours
- Up to £150 per day | Outside IR35 | 6-month contract

TRIA are delighted to be working with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Network Installation Engineer for a 6-month contract in Bristol.
This is a fully site-based role for a hands‑on engineer with strong cabling experience and a commitment to quality workmanship and safe working practices.
The Role
You’ll join an installation team delivering network infrastructure projects, with responsibility for:
- Installing network cabinets, containment and Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A cabling.
- Terminating, testing and labelling copper and fibre cabling.
- Installing and patching network Switches.
- Installing fibre optic cabling via internal, pit and duct routes.
- Fibre termination, patching, testing and troubleshooting.
- Using
OTDR equipment for fibre testing and fault finding.
- Completing QA documentation and daily shift reports.
- Working to project plans, RAMS and site procedures while maintaining a safe and tidy environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience terminating fibre optic cables , including cold cure and splicing.
- Strong copper cabling experience, including Cat5e/Cat6.
- Experience testing copper and fibre using
Fluke testers .
- Good knowledge of current network installation practices.
- Experience working to high standards within a close team.
- Previous experience supervising or supporting staff in a customer environment.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Steel and PVC containment installation experience.
OTDR testing experience.
- IPAF, PASMA or Confined Space certification.
- ECS Card, Asbestos Awareness or First Aid.
- Full UK driving licence.
You’ll be a practical, proactive and reliable engineer with excellent attention to detail, comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and committed to health & safety.
BPSS clearance is required.
