This role will see you joining a large, growing, multidisciplinary consultancy operating across the UK and internationally, delivering professional services to a diverse client base. With a growing focus on artificial intelligence, they are establishing a dedicated AI function to help shape how AI is adopted, governed, and applied across the business.

As part of this investment, they are seeking an AI Lead to define and drive the organisation’s AI strategy. This is not a hands-on development leadership role. Instead, you will act as the bridge between technology and the business, helping senior stakeholders understand where AI can create value, establishing governance and best practices, and leading a small team of AI Developers. The organisation currently is utilising Copilot and implementing ChatGPT however they are open to what tools you see best fit.

You will have:

  • Experience developing and delivering AI strategy
  • Knowledge of the latest AI tools and be able to apply the right tool in the business
  • Experience with Chat GPT & Copilot, but also experience with other AI tools such as Claude etc.
  • The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across both technical and non-technical functions
  • Experience building business cases, evaluating technology options, and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Understanding of AI governance, risk, security, and responsible adoption practices
  • Leadership experience with the ability to guide specialist technical teams while maintaining a business-first focus
  • Experience managing AI engineers who will be hands on building AI tools and solutions

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience leading AI adoption programmes at enterprise scale
  • Data, analytics, or digital transformation leadership experience
