Tri Talent are working a confidential search for a Programme Director to join a major global consultancy operating across construction, infrastructure and the built environment. The business supports clients through the full property and infrastructure lifecycle, from development and advisory through to delivery and operations, and works on some of the most complex, high-profile programmes in the sector.
This is a senior, client-facing leadership role. You'd own a major client relationship and delivery outcome, lead a multi-disciplinary team, and play a genuine role in shaping the account's future direction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing overall leadership and direction for a major, complex programme, ensuring delivery is aligned to client objectives, timelines and budget.
- Acting as the senior point of contact for the client, building trusted long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the account.
- Directing safe, compliant and inclusive delivery, with a strong personal commitment to wellbeing and safety culture across the team.
- Owning programme governance, risk and commercial performance, ensuring delivery is both fiscally sound and ethically managed.
- Leading, developing and growing a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and best practice.
- Shaping and influencing long-term account or business strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders on both sides.
- Representing the business externally and acting as a credible ambassador in client and industry settings.
- Bringing external best practice and innovation into programme delivery.
- Supporting new business development, including identifying and developing opportunities beyond the current commission.
What I'm Looking For
- Extensive experience directing major programmes within a client-facing consultancy or delivery environment — infrastructure, construction, defence or another regulated sector.
- Strong track record of senior stakeholder management, comfortable operating at C-suite / executive level with both client and contractor organisations.
- Deep commercial and financial acumen, including experience owning P&L or fee performance on large, complex commissions.
- Proven people leadership — building, developing and retaining high-performing teams.
- A confident, credible communicator, comfortable representing an organisation publicly and under scrutiny.
- Relevant professional qualification/chartership (e.g. APM, RICS, ICE or equivalent) typically expected at this level.
Package
- Salary c.£150,000+ (dependent on experience), plus benefits.
- London based, with client-site presence as required.
