Job title: Finance Business Partner – Midlands

Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 + bonus and benefits

About the business
Tri Talent is partnering with a well-established, project-led UK business to appoint a Finance Business Partner for its Midlands region. Part of a respected listed group, the business has a strong track record, a values-led culture and a clear growth agenda.
The role
This is a commercially focused role for a qualified accountant who wants to step out of pure reporting and become a trusted adviser to the regional leadership team. You’ll sit close to the operational business and help shape decisions on projects, budgets and performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with the regional leadership team, giving clear, commercial finance insight
- Lead monthly management accounts, forecasting and the annual budget for the region
- Analyse project and contract performance, including margins, forecasts and cash
- Support investment appraisals and decisions on new opportunities
- Challenge and improve cost control, working capital and cash management
- Present financial performance clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Drive improvements to reporting, processes and controls
About you
- ACA qualified with 2–5 years’ PQE, or CIMA/ACCA qualified with comparable experience
- Strong business partnering skills: confident influencing and challenging senior operational leaders
- Commercially minded, with good analytical and modelling skills
- Experience in a project-based or contract-led environment is a real plus, but not essential
- Based in, or within commuting distance of, the Midlands
