The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.

To work in the extended and urgent primary care service on behalf of TLC Ltd. This is a GP led primary care service operating from 5pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. This is a hub-based model operating from Romsey (Sat- Sun), Chandlers Ford (Mon- Fri) and Eastleigh (Saturdays only).

Main duties of the job include:

  • Welcoming and assisting patients
  • Providing advice and direction
  • Supporting clinical staff
  • Preparing clinic rooms and handling prescriptions
  • Completing administrative tasks such as preparing and submitting referral letters
  • Recording messages and data entry
  • Coordinating with various healthcare professionals and service providers
  • Conducting audits and surveys
  • Performing additional duties as required whilst undertaking necessary training for future needs

Our aim is to support our member practices and Primary Care Networks to preserve medical services within our communities, being delivered by local clinicians. Tri Locality Care Ltd provides quality medical services to the patient population registered at GP practices within Eastleigh North, Romsey, North Baddesley and Chandlers Ford. We are committed to ensuring that services remain local and endeavour to work with our Partners to provide medical services at a high standard and excellent value for money to the NHS.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Providing an efficient and confidential reception service to patients who present for an appointment
  • Assisting the team in the efficient delivery of the service
  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Dealing with general enquiries in person
  • Advising and signposting patients
  • Ensuring the smooth running of surgery sessions
  • Preparing clinic rooms, installing couch rolls, and recording prescriptions on security logs in conjunction with the GP and NP
  • Preparing referral letters from an electronic dictation system and ensuring registered general practice is aware
  • Entering information onto computer data reporting
  • Liaising with OOH Provider to book appointments for patients
  • Liaising with Doctors/Service/Operations Manager/Team colleagues on a regular basis
  • Liaising with external health care professionals
  • Undertaking audits and surveys
  • Performing any other duties as required
  • Undertaking appropriate training to satisfy the future needs of TLC Ltd

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: GCSE/O Levels 3 at Grade C or above including English (or equivalent)
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Good organisation skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Knowledge of reception duties/office procedures
  • Knowledge of a GP clinical system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel

Knowledge and skills:

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • IT literate
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in the NHS preferably in a general practice setting
  • Previous experience of Reception/Admin work
  • Trustworthy/honest/understand importance of confidentiality
