Wetherby Full-Time On-site
T

Wetherby, West Yorkshire | On-site | Part-time initially, approximately 2 days per week

Salary: Competitive, pro-rata and dependent on experience

THE OPPORTUNITY

TRI-FIT is looking for a talented, organised and proactive person to help us develop and grow TRI-FIT Custom Lab.

This isn't simply a graphic design job.

Design is a major part of it, but we're looking for someone who can take ownership of the entire Custom Lab customer journey: speaking to customers, understanding what they want, creating the designs, keeping projects organised, managing deadlines and helping get the finished product into production.

Beyond individual orders, we want you to help us make Custom Lab better.

That means developing our teamwear offering, helping build our product catalogue and pricing structure, improving how Custom Lab is presented online and finding better ways to make this part of TRI-FIT scalable.

For the right person, there's an opportunity to grow alongside it and take increasing ownership of Custom Lab as the business develops.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Customers and projects

  • Run discovery calls (about 20 minutes) and record each brief on a standard template.
  • Take customers through concepts, capped revisions and sign-off on front, back, side and 3D renders.
  • Keep customers updated at every stage and manage several orders at once.
  • Work back from race dates and lead times, and flag at-risk orders to the founder.
  • Liaise with the factory on artwork.

Design and production

  • Create original tri-suit and sportswear designs, including colourways, graphics, typography and sponsor placement.
  • Prepare print-ready vector artwork for sublimation, and check names, numbers, sizes, logos and colours before production. No changes after sign-off.
  • Design matching club and team ranges and produce size, name and number sheets for bulk orders.

Developing Custom Lab

  • Build a library of templates, colourways and approved design elements.
  • Help build the Custom Lab catalogue and propose options and pricing for founder sign-off.
  • Develop team ranges for clubs, teams, businesses and organisations.
  • Help build the Custom Lab website section, with galleries and case studies.
  • Supply renders and photos to the Brand & Marketing Lead, and help with occasional graphics.
  • Find ways to make Custom Lab easier to buy, manage and scale.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong graphic design ability and a portfolio showing colour, typography and layout.
  • Confidence in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, or similar.
  • Clear, friendly communication and the ability to steer a customer to a decision.
  • Organisation to manage several orders across two days a week.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Initiative to keep projects moving.

Desirable: sublimation, sportswear or garment template experience; 3D visualisation; Pantone and CMYK; AI design tools; interest in triathlon, swim, bike or run.

We are open on experience: a strong graduate, an early-career designer or someone with several years in design or apparel could all fit.

WHAT YOU GET

Published, raced work credited to you, hands-on training in garment templates, sublimation print and factory file preparation, and working days agreed around other commitments where needed. The role is built to grow in days and responsibility as Custom Lab grows.

LOCATION

Office-based at TRI-FIT HQ, Wetherby on your working days. Not a remote role.
