We are recruiting for a senior fire risk assessor to join a growing team. In this role you will be responsible for all fire risk assessment services, support more junior fire risk assessors and provide technical advice when required. This is a home based position, however you will be expected to travel to site and head office regularly. You will need to be Tier 3 TFRAR/NFRAR Certified with a working knowledge of carrying out FRA's in complex buildings. Some experience of team management and confidence mentoring would be advantageous.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior FRA - carrying out fire risk assessments and provide safety guidance
  • Be the lead fire risk assessor for the team - working with management you will ensure the team meets SLA's and works towards measurable KPI's and support where needed
  • Review and authorise reports
  • Carry out validation, verification and QA technical reports
  • Support with coaching, mentoring and succession planning for the FRA team
  • Working with the service team, manage the workflow
  • Engage and lead on fee earning projects
  • Supported by HR, carry out performance reviews and PDP's
  • Carry out any required FRA's

What are we looking for from you?

  • Tier 3 TRFAR/NFRAR Credited (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience carrying out complex FRA's
  • willingness to travel throughout the UK as required
  • Deliver projects on time and to standard
  • Fire safety qualification
  • Recognised professional membership such as IFE or IFSM
  • Previous management/team lead experience (not essential)
