We're hiring an AI/ML Engineer for a fast-growing data and AI consultancy working across financial services, private equity, retail, asset management, and the public sector. This is a new role driven by increased project demand; you won't be joining a team that's standing still. Engineers here typically say they learn more in a year than anywhere else they've worked, and the project mix backs that up: satellite image analysis, pharma auditing copilots, government deepfake detection, and more.

You'll join a 12-person engineering team and work across the full lifecycle - from fast POCs through to production-grade systems in regulated environments. There's a hard start date on an upcoming project, so we're moving quickly.

About you

  • At least 2 years of experience in AI engineering, ML engineering, or a closely related data science role
  • Hands-on production experience with LLMs
  • Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, context engineering, and agentic frameworks
  • Experience with evals and model monitoring in live environments
  • Comfortable with Azure, LangChain, and modern MLOps practices
  • Solid Python and the engineering discipline to write clean, testable, version-controlled code
  • Clear communicator - you can explain models and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • SC clearance eligibility (UK 5-year residency) is a plus - not required now but may be needed for certain government projects

What's on offer

  • ~£65,000 – £80,000 base salary
  • ~ EMI share options
  • ~£6,000 annual training and conference allowance
  • ~ Matched pension up to 6%
  • ~ Private healthcare (Vitality)
  • ~25 days holiday
