The Role

As the Director of Product Management, you will be reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, and lead a portfolio of SaaS products within the Market Data and Subscription Cost Management space, contributing to and executing the organization's overarching product vision and strategy. Your core mission will be to drive the success of the product portfolio and thus, contribute to the overall success of the organization’s growth.

You will help manage and nurture the development of the product vision, goals, and roadmap for a suite of products, including prioritization of features and functionalities based on market analysis and customer feedback. Furthermore, you will lead a team of product managers and product owners who have deep experience in the industry, coaching them to achieve excellence in the gathering and creating of PM artifacts, executing best practice processes and ceremonies and making data-driven decisions, as well as driving a robust software development process that is agile, predictable, and results driven.

The perfect candidate for this role must be adept at using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and organizational impact, as they will be responsible for the team’s successful execution of product initiatives end to end. This role demonstrates a balance of leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive successful product delivery, through effective team management.

Requirements:

  • Direct work experience within the Market Data Industry (exchange, data vendor or Fintech company) with deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Proven experience growing and building teams from the ground up, with a focus on mentoring and managing product managers and product owners to deliver with excellence, on time.
  • Proficient in Scaled Agile and Scrum methodologies with in-depth functional expertise of end-to-end product life cycle processes, including discovery, requirements gathering, prototyping, user testing, and release management; as well as able to influence and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer support, and managed services.
  • Extensive experience in mentoring teams in planning and forecasting best practice as well as modeling resource needs, in preparation for release and AOP planning.
  • Proven expertise/ success launching products that require high level of cross-functional collaboration with notable experience in GTM planning.
  • Experience in navigating and leading teams through organizational changes, especially related to product management/development processes; thereafter continuously optimizing product development processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience working with and embedding User Experience Teams in your daily product management and development process.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years’ experience managing large scale enterprise software portfolio, with at least 5 years as a direct line manager.
  • Proven experience operating in a private equity (PE)-backed environment, including regular reporting, senior leadership engagement, and navigating a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset, driving business outcomes through data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment with shifting priorities and competing demands.
