We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager with RF experience to join our engineering team. Culturally, Intelliconnect has people at its core. Where it is:
We have quadrupled the business over the last three years and as such we are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to head our engineering teams based in Witham, Essex and Corby, Northamptonshire. The role is office-based, but flexible, involving collaborating with our overseas facility in Tennessee (USA).
What you’ll do:
- Project Management
- Identify new design, manufacture, cost reduction and efficiency projects
- Oversee all engineering projects
- Task assignment
- Project prioritisation working with Senior leadership team
- Budget responsibility
- Reporting to wider business and parent company
- Product Road Map
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop product road map
- Work with laboratories to test new designs
- Working with Marketing to launch new products
- Working with Production on assembly of new product lines
- Defining test parameters and performance capabilities
- Job Costing
- Labour estimation for quotations
- Piece part costings, working with the materials team
- Identifying and pricing required equipment
- Value Stream Mapping / Lean Assembly
- Procedures and Processes
- Create and maintain documentation for engineering
- Define and improve processes for assembly and test
- ISO and SC21 documentation management
- Technical support
- Working with sales team on enquiries
- Collaborating with customers remotely and onsite
- Supporting the manufacturing team
- Marketing Activities
- Attending trade shows and conferences
- Technical documentation
- Presentation creation and delivery
- Creation of promotional materials and samples
What we want:
The successful candidate will have a technical management background and be passionate about their work, have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well with customers and co-workers. Be creative, enquiring and be capable of problem solving. Good oral, written and presentational skills. Familiarity of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
CAD Experience Essential, Ideally With SolidWorks.
Experience of RF/Microwave connector design, cryogenic component design and wire harness design would be a distinct advantage.
When you do it:
Normal hours of work are Monday – Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm.
