Frances Bolitho is a purpose built care home in Penzance. Bolitho is made up of two care homes alongside each other, both have their own independent kitchen.
The role of the Kitchen Supervisor is to order, audit and over see the running of both kitchens, ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained. Delivering support and companionship to residents so they enjoy each day and a nutritious balanced enjoyable diet in line with their meal plans.
Main duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee and participate in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food.
* Implement and monitor cleaning schedules and cleanliness
* Assist with the service of meals.
* Carry out kitchen audits and report findings to care home manager
* Ensure Food Hygiene and Health & Safety recommendations are complied with.
* Devise kitchen rotas
* Order supplies for both kitchens with allocated budgets
* Undertake any such duties as may reasonably be requested
* Provide supervisions and oversee all other kitchen staff
