Role Overview
An opportunity to join a global financial technology services provider supporting tier-1 financial institutions across Asia-Pacific markets. This role sits within a follow-the-sun support model and acts as the primary London-based contact for APAC clients during their business day. Working independently overnight, you will provide mission-critical client support, manage incidents, and ensure seamless handovers to EMEA and US teams. The position offers high autonomy, deep product exposure, and significant responsibility within a global operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- APAC Client Support
- Act as first point of contact for APAC-based clients during regional business hours
- Manage and resolve client service requests independently while meeting defined SLAs
- Execute escalation protocols for critical issues, coordinating with on-call specialists when required
- Maintain clear, structured handover documentation for EMEA and US day teams
- Technical & Product Expertise
- Develop deep working knowledge across the firm’s post-trade and collateral technology platforms
- Troubleshoot complex operational and technical issues during overnight coverage
- Monitor system performance and reconciliation processes, identifying and escalating anomalies
- Contribute to incident reviews and preventative control improvements
- Client Engagement & Knowledge Sharing
- Build strong working relationships with APAC clients across multiple markets
- Host virtual consultations aligned to APAC time zones
- Create internal knowledge base content and training materials based on recurring overnight issues
- Collaborate with global Client Services, Operations, and Product teams
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Proven experience in client services, operations, or support within financial services or fintech
- Strong understanding of securities finance, including collateral management and settlement workflows
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to learn proprietary systems quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions under pressure
- Clear and confident communication skills across phone, email, and ticketing platforms
Night-Shift Suitability
- Self-motivated and disciplined, comfortable working independently overnight
- Calm and resilient when managing urgent issues as the sole point of contact
- Strong time management and documentation skills
- Culturally aware when working with APAC stakeholders
Desirable Experience (Not Essential)
- Prior night-shift or rotational shift experience
- Background in middle office, trade support, or operations covering APAC markets
- Experience with collateral management or securities finance platforms
- Knowledge of APAC market structures, settlement cycles, and holidays
