Trevose Golf Club is looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team in one of Cornwall's most scenic and prestigious coastal venues. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to step into a key leadership role within a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen.

About the Role: In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to lead kitchen operations, support the team, and ensure consistently excellent food delivery. You'll have the opportunity to contribute creatively to menus while helping to maintain a positive, professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example during prep and service, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards to full compliance
  • Support menu development with seasonal and customer-focused dishes
  • Train, manage, and support kitchen staff; assist with recruitment and onboarding
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and lead service when required
  • Manage stock levels, supplier orders, and inventory control
  • Carry out due diligence checks and maintain operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a professional kitchen, with 2+ years as a Sous Chef
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
  • Creative flair with a passion for quality, seasonal ingredients
  • Able to remain calm and organised in a high-pressure environment
  • Effective communicator, both in the kitchen and with front-of-house teams
