Trevor Shaw Decorators are a well-established commercial painting and decorating contractor specialising in large-scale multi-storey residential projects across Yorkshire, the Midlands, and the North West.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to help expand our client base, strengthen strategic partnerships, and secure new commercial contracts across multiple sectors.

This is a key position within the business, working directly with senior management to support the company’s long-term growth strategy and market expansion.

Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and property sectors.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 and large scale contractors, house builders, serviced accommodation operators, and commercial clients.
  • Generate new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, direct outreach, relationship management, and market research.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions to promote the company’s services and brand.
  • Work closely with senior management to implement business development and growth strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to increase recurring revenue within existing client accounts.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, and sales reporting.
  • Provide regular updates on opportunities, revenue generation, and business development performance.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, account management, or commercial growth roles.

  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue growth targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
