The Opportunity
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading national Facilities Management provider on a refurbishment and compliance project within a secure public sector environment.
Project Scope
The project includes a range of refurbishment and statutory compliance works, including:
- Asbestos removal and associated works
- Fire compartmentation and fire stopping
- Lighting upgrades
- Electrical infrastructure improvements
- Mechanical and electrical alterations
- General refurbishment and building compliance works
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the client's representative throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of works on site.
- Monitor the performance of the Principal Contractor and subcontractors.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Produce daily progress reports covering labour, progress, quality, safety and key issues.
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager, providing regular project updates.
- Review technical queries and assist in resolving site issues.
- Ensure RAMS, permits and compliance documentation are in place before works commence.
- Monitor health and safety compliance across all site activities.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Site Manager delivering refurbishment, construction or Facilities Management projects.
- Experience working within secure or live public sector environments such as government buildings, healthcare, education or defence.
- Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good understanding of construction health & safety legislation.
- Experience overseeing asbestos-related works and fire compartmentation projects.
- Mechanical or Electrical background would be advantageous.
