Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Site Manager to join a leading global FM provider on a high-profile project based in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected name in the industry, overseeing mechanical works across a live site for an initial 8-week period, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day mechanical operations and manage subcontractors on-site
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and in line with project specifications
  • Conduct site inspections, monitor quality standards, and ensure compliance with H&S regulations
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
  • Review method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation
  • Attend and lead site progress meetings

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the FM, M&E, or construction sector
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building services
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain high safety standards
  • Experience on live sites preferred
