We are pleased to support the recruitment of an Electrical Manager to work on a Healthcare account, based in Surrey. The role of the Electrical Manager is to oversee the delivery of HV & LV electrical services based on SFG20 & HTM guidelines, within a healthcare setting. This is an opportunity to support the operational team to deliver a high-class service within a critical infrastructure, and to guide and assist the engineering team and technical service managers on site. Knowledge of HV / LV is essential to this post due to the nature of the work and the site specification.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing, administering and monitoring the application of HTM Guidance as well as rules and procedures.
- Maintain/develop a register of appointments, training plans, assess & recommend in writing sufficient Authorised Persons & Competent Persons for the accounts sites & systems.
- Audit and check service reports by electrical subcontractors operating on the portfolio, ensuring adherence to SOPs and conformance with compliance requirements.
- Follow up and ensure any remedial works are being understood and put forward to the client for review and approval.
- Initiate and coordinate the investigations of reported faults, injuries and dangerous occurrences involving electrical systems and installations including the management of any operational restrictions reported or identified.
- Undertake comprehensive audits of the safe systems of work and safety procedures required by HTM safety rules & procedures.
- Assist Technical Service Managers in the setup and upkeep of HTM-06 and other relevant Electrical logbooks.
- Attend the customer Electrical Safety Group meetings, acting as chair.
- Attend any other ad-hoc meetings as and when required.
- Produce and implement a plan & specification for maintenance of the electrical systems.
- Engage with labour (both internal & sub-contractors) to deliver the plans.
Requirements
- Experience of working within an NHS or Healthcare environment is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority.
- Competence in creating, writing and presenting reports.
- Good data management skills, ability to collate, report on and present large amounts of data.
- HTM LV or HV AP trained is desirable, training can be provided to the right candidate to attend and become a HV and LV AP.
- Minimum level of NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent is essential.
- Diligent and pro-active.
- Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
