Experienced Site Manager with a strong background in fire protection to oversee daily operations across a large commercial site in Sheffield. The project works will be taking place out of hours i.e. nights. You'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest compliance standards. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals with a proactive focus and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations on fire stopping, fire door, and compartmentation projects.
- Ensure all works comply with UK fire safety regulations, RAMS, and company procedures.
- Maintain site documentation, reports, RAMS, and compliance records.
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Manage daily site records, accurate reporting and progress reports.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in fire protection (e.g., passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors, or sprinkler systems).
- SMSTS, CSCS and 1st Aid certification.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude.
- Strong understanding of UK fire safety regulations and construction site management.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
- FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar accreditation knowledge desirable.
This is a contract position with an expected 12 month duration, working nights and is open to individuals with experience managing sizeable fire protection projects. If you are a commutable distance to Sheffield and available for a start in July/August please apply through the advert.
